After completion of the Programme, the students are equipped with the unique skills and

expertise in broad-based education and will be ready to take up either their first

psychologist job or facilitates them for a higher degree in the chosen subject specialization.

The students get exposure in varied domains of applied psychology including Counselling,

Clinical, Organizational, Social, Neuro-Psychology, School Psychology, and Indian

psychology, to name a few. The aim and objective of the Programme are to prepare the

students for a career in psychology by imparting theory and professional skills to work as a

psychologist. Further, it enables students to build a career in psychology and allows them to

derive great joy in professionally helping people who require psychological help and

contribute to society. Applied Psychology graduates are employed in diverse fields,

including the Health Care sector, Schools and Colleges, Human Resource departments in

industries and corporates, Community Development, Child Welfare, Juvenile Department,

Addiction Treatment, Family, and Guidance Counseling. Psychologists work with individuals,

students, employees, patients, families, groups to resolve psychological and emotional

problems and improve well-being and human potentials.
