After successful completion of the course students will:

 

1.      Describe the key milestones in the history of rehabilitation psychology globally and relate historical milestones to current practices in rehabilitation psychology.

2.      Demonstrate the Codes of Professional Ethics as well as outlines the legal and ethical standards in rehabilitation practice.

3.      Compare and applies different psychological models to understand disability experiences and develop integrated psychological treatment approaches using various psychological models in case studies.

4.      Explain the importance of psychological assessment in rehabilitation planning.

5.      Construct rehabilitation interventions in clinical cases like specific challenges in stroke, traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, limb amputation and other disabilities.

6.      Evaluate and formulate the interactions between individual and societal factors in shaping disability experiences.
