Course Description: 

This advanced core course is designed for MSc Clinical Psychology students, focusing on quantitative research methodologies. It covers statistical techniques, experimental design, and data analysis using software tools. Special features include hands-on data analysis projects, critical evaluation of research studies, and development of a research proposal, equipping students with essential skills for conducting and interpreting quantitative research in clinical psychology. 

Course Introduction: 

This course provides a fundamental understanding of statistics and an overview of the research process. The course explores statistical concepts and procedures such as central tendency, variability, hypothesis testing, etc. The broad range of research methods and research methodologies underlying them would also be explored. It covers topics such as problem formulation, operationalization, writing research proposals, research designs and data analysis.
