The course titled, ‘Community psychology’ offers a radical perspective and a response to the individual centric mainstream clinical psychology. The course opens the conversation of the ideas of power and empowerment, social justice and the psychological sense of community in clinical and health contexts. The students will learn to view health and mental health inequalities through the lens of the ‘community’ and focus on the community efforts to self-empower and liberate itself from the imposed constraints.
