The inter-linkage between the social or the aggregate and the individual forms a fascinating field of enquiry. How is it that living beings and not just humans or mammals gather together;what are the evolutionary impulses that force living beings to collectivise? On the other end, what are the downsides of collectivity? Does social behaviour force conformity? What about leadership and individual influences on social behaviour? These are some of the core questions that drive this exciting field in Applied Psychology.

The present paper is one of the core courses and will follow a structured form of understanding concepts, theories and applications. Each module will approach some of the topics such as prejudice, discrimination, attitude and attitude change in a systematic manner.

Students will be assessed rigorously through formal assignments, group projects and seminars.
