A course on Research methodology is an essential component of this programme. When an individual decides to pursue the higher study of Law, he or she needs certain specific tools and a user manual to perform inquiry that is integral to the field of legal studies. This course is designed to provide specific tools for students undertaking postgraduate research in the area of Law.             

Students will be further provided with a strong grounding in theoretical frameworks with which they may approach their subject, as well as exposure to a quiet a few research works in which practical application of the above mentioned methods and frameworks are demonstrably used. The course will equip students for the inquiry into the world of law, and at the same time, they will learn to inquire into the world and society they live in, and unto themselves. The specificities of Justice Research, Peace Research, Human Rights Research, Applied Indian Knowledge Research, Legal History etc. are also across the modules, challenging their preconceived notions and updating them with the a growing body of research narratives and knowledge.
