The course will give an in-depth insight into the constitutional, statutory and institutional aspects of human rights protection in India. It also covers constitutional provisions dealing with human rights and special legislations dealing with the protection of vulnerable and marginalized groups. The course covers discussion on the institutional framework in India with special reference to protection and enforcement of human rights. Course Objectives: This course provides student teachers with an opportunity to enrich their understanding about the Indian constitution-preamble, salient features, and Constituent Assembly. The course also facilitates a deeper insight into the concept of Human Rights and Duties, and its relevance in the global world order and in day to day life.
