This course
introduces and discusses the genre of comics and graphic novels in detail, tracing its development through
history, focusing on its success and popularity in recent times, and covering
key theoretical concepts related to both studying and creating comics and
graphic novels. The course will also introduce learners to famous works and
authors, as well as critics and theorists in this field, which is as much
literature as it is popular culture.
