The scientific understanding of human behavior finds its application in criminology and correctional services as well. The branch of Forensic psychology is primarily concerned with development and application of psychological techniques that facilitate proper criminal investigation. Apart from this, forensic psychologists also serve as expert consultants in legal proceedings and as care providers for offenders in correctional settings. The present course will introduce you to the field of forensic psychology, basic psychosocial understandings of criminal. behavior, psychological techniques aiding investigation of crime and psychological services at legal facilities and correctional settings.
