Course Description
This is a core course prescribed for the first semester B.A. B.Ed. students. The course introduces the beginnings of English literature. Familiarising the students with the history of the Old and the Middle Ages in England, the course presents an understanding of the development of English literature along with its social and cultural milieu. The course aims to aid students in tracing the early English poetry, folktales, legends and its evolution in the due course.
