After successful completion of the course students will: 

  1. Describe the definition and concepts of education psychology, explore various learning theories including psychoanalytic theories by Feuerstein’s, Bloom’s Theory, Gagné’s, and Bruner’s Spiral Curriculum, Kolb’s Experiential Theory, and develop skills in assessing learning.
  2. Demonstrate the principles and concepts underlying learner, instructional, educational settings and be able to apply these principles into the settings of education.
  3. Understanding of psychoeducational assessment, enables them to explore the subjective experiences of individuals, and the importance of personal growth in shaping learning behavior.
  4. Describe how contemporary education in India exploring key concepts and policies in the field and their implications for understanding Indian education.
  5. Understanding of traditional Indian perspectives on education, encompassing concepts from ancient philosophical and psychological frameworks such as upanishads, dharma sastras, buddhist ideas and Vedic literature, to appreciate the cultural and philosophical dimensions shaping the understanding of educational nature in the Indian context.
