This course will examine the importance of analysing and managing costs; activity-based management, job costing and Batch costing; planning and decisions making and evaluating and managing performance. This course is designed as a course at undergraduate level. The main aim of this module is to present the contemporary themes in advanced cost and managerial accounting and their impact on management accounting techniques. The module will cover a wide range of topics including ABC costing, Lifecycle costing, Throughput costing, Job, and Batch costing and standard costing and variance analysis.
