Course Description

The external environment influences human behaviors. In the modern world media and advertisements are influencing our behaviors to a great extent. The course provides an outlook to the students on how media and advertisements are influencing our thought processes, motivations, and behaviors. The course will cover introductory psychological concepts, various influence of media on individuals and the vice-versa, and advertisements as a persuasive communication which influences both positive and negative behaviours.

  • To introduce students to the basic concepts of psychology related to media and advertisement.
  • To make aware students on the influence of media on the individual and group behaviours of people.
  • To enable students to analyze how advertisements influence individuals and group behaviors.
